Microsoft has confirmed that Xbox Live servers are down and that core services on Xbox One consoles are not workly correctly.
This includes problems with gamers sharing Party Chat features on Xbox One and Xbox 360 consoles.
Microsoft has also revealed issues with other Xbox Live services, including creating new accounts on Xbox Live, managing those accounts, or recovering an account on a different device.
Xbox One gamers are also having trouble joining friends in online games, with other matchmaking issues also flagged.
It’s unclear what has caused tonight’s problems but there’s a good chance that a lot of people are currently trying to access Xbox Live servers.
A message from Microsoft reveals: “We are aware that users are experiencing issues with matchmaking, Party Chat, and Looking For Groups. Our engineers are working on fixing this now. We will keep you posted here when we have updates!
A second message adds: “Our engineers and developers are actively continuing to work to resolve the issue causing some members to have problems signing in to Xbox Live. Stay tuned, and thanks for your patience.”
No ETA has been shared regarding how long tonight’s Xbox Live server outage will last, or when gamers can expect services to return to normal.
