Roush is best known for making sweet tuned Mustangs, but it makes crazy versions of other Ford products as well. One of those is the Nitemare F-150, a 650-horsepower super-truck, which according to the company, can do 0-60 in under four seconds.
The Nitemare F-150 is a $20,000 upgrade for your run-of-the-mill 5.0-liter V-8-powered 4X4 F-150 that includes a Roush supercharger, a lowering kit, a new exhaust system, 22-inch black wheels, a new front fasica, and a handful of Roush graphics. It can be had in regular cab or SuperCrew configurations, and comes with a three-year, 36,000-mile warranty.
Roush brought out a handful of well-known enthusiasts, including pro drifter Justin Pawlak, TV personality Aaron Kaufman, and racer Robb Holland, to test the Nitemare on a closed drag strip. With the rear differential locked, Roush was able to lay down a 4.1-second time for the SuperCrew truck, and a staggering 3.9-second time for the regular cab version. That’s as fast as an Aston Martin V12 Vantage S.
Roush claims this time makes the Nitemare the “world’s quickest production truck,” though considering it’s a modified version of a Ford product, we wouldn’t go that far. Still, its speed is damn impressive.
